We know that first time visits to any church raise many questions and concerns. Here is a quick look at some frequently asked questions that will hopefully give you a better idea of what to expect when you visit Coosada Baptist. If you do not see an answer to your question here or on any of the specific ministry pages on the site, please contact us in the church office by calling 334-285-4225. Our staff would love to assist you in preparation for your visit to Coosada Baptist.
Where are you located?
Our address is 5687 Coosada Road, Coosada, AL 36020.
Where do I go?
Greeters are located at each entrance to the building and are available to direct you to the Sanctuary for worship, to a classroom for Bible study or to any specific ministry meeting area. You will find signs outside the church to direct you to the nursery, sanctuary, fellowship hall, and education departments. To make it even easier, there are brochures located at each entrance with small group room numbers and information on each group.
What should I wear?
Dress comfortably. We’re more concerned with meeting your needs than focusing on what you wear. Come as you are. You can dress up or down, just be modest and appropriate, what matters is that you come ready to worship God.
What do I need to bring?
A Bible will help you follow along in both worship and Bible study. If you have a Bible, bring it with you. If you do not have a Bible, copies are located in the sanctuary for your use.
When do I need to arrive?
We offer three Sunday morning services. Our contemporary worship services begin at 8:30 and 9:45. Our traditional service begins at 11:00. We offer Bible study classes at all three hours. There is a class specifically for young singles that meets at 8:30.There are groups for all ages at 9:45 and 11:00. Plan to arrive about 10 minutes early to allow adequate time for parking in our visitor spaces and getting to the appropriate place.
Is the church handicap accessible?
Yes. There is reserved parking. The building is equipped with wheelchair accessible entrances and handicap accessible ramps, restrooms, and an elevator are located throughout the building. The sanctuary has seating
specifically made for wheelchairs. These seats are designated with a blue wheelchair sticker. Should you need a wheelchair to use or need assistance, just ask the greeter at the door or Welcome Booth.
Where do my children go?
There are greeters at each entrance to direct your children to their classroom. Coosada Baptist offers childcare so parents can experience a meaningful time of worship. The nursery is located on the main level of Building A, and there are signs and greeters to direct you there. Children ages 4 through Kindergarten can participate in Kid’s Own Worship during the sermon time of each worship service.
How are visitors recognized?
The last thing we want to do is single you out or put you on the spot. We ask visitors to fill out a Visitor
Information card located in the pews and simply drop it in the offering plate so that we can have a record of your visit. We’ll never ask you to stand or call you out in any way. We want you to have a wonderful experience at Coosada Baptist and we strive to create a friendly and comfortable environment to make you feel right at home.
We hope to see you soon!
