Randy has been at CBC since 1962 and many of life’s milestone events occurred here:  He was saved and baptized, married and dedicated his children, elected and ordained as a deacon, daughters were baptized and married, and all four of his grandchildren have been baptized at Coosada Baptist Church.

Randy is very happy to have the privilege of working with the Young @ Heart, many of which have helped raise him through the years that he has been here at CBC.

Students - Patrick Franklin

Patrick grew up at Coosada Baptist Church and was involved in the student ministry and was a member of the praise band.  He left Coosada in 2012 to serve as the Worship Pastor and Children’s Minister at Lifeline Church in Greenville, AL.  In 2013, God called Patrick to First Baptist Church in Aliceville, AL  where he served as the Student minister for four years. Patrick is married to Brooke Ward Franklin.  They have two children—Lacey, and Powell.

"God has given me the heart to teach the future leaders of the church.  To encourage them in their walk and see them become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.  My heart is to see my God become their God; for the faith they have to be the direct result of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  I want them to know who God is, why they trust Him and live out a life that would not only please Him, but point others to Him.”

Brad became the Connections Coordinator with the student ministry, leveraging his passion for photography and media. In the Fall of 2019, he was elected and ordained as a deacon here. Shortly thereafter he was brought on with our staff as the Media & Outreach Pastor.

Brad and Laura have one daughter, Aria. The Smiths can be found regularly collaborating with our students and preschool ministry families on different projects. Their ministry passion always brings them back to students, young couples and those battling depression and anxiety.

"My hope is that through photography and our media, we show people outside of our walls what it looks like when God is on the move in the lives of His people...moving beyond seeing a photo or video to catching a glimpse of Jesus... That there will be people seeing these pictures in around the world in His perfect timing...leaving an undeniable seed of the evidence of God in their hearts and minds. That when they see these moments in the Coosada family...they’ll see something they want to be a part of even if they can’t physically be with us...that they'll want to be a part of the family of God." -Brad
